
FEMINA
Femina is the brand I created as my self-authored thesis project. Femina is a celebration of the iconic women who were trailblazers in their field. The project at is core is an app and several posters, designed to be hung in several subway stops across New York City. The posters contain a QR code that allows users to scan the poster, thus launching the app experience. The app brings you through the life and times of the woman featured on that poster and allows you to explore other locations, feminist icons, and, of course, shop.
the BRANDING
The first step to bringing Femina to life was to define the tone. I wanted to convey an inspiring, uplifting and joyous tone. Above all, I wanted it to inspire fun. I chose a bright color palette for the branding to mirror what I imagined for the posters. I wanted to incorporate natural, curvy lines to emulate women, who are at the heart of the project.
