RAINFOREST ROASTERS

Coffee is one of the largest global industries, valued at nearly $20 billion dollars. Coffee is the second most tradable commodity, and it is estimated that 500 billion cups of coffee are drank per year world wide. The problem is that the coffee industry is responsible for mass deforestation of tropical rainforests. It is estimated that for every cup of coffee, one square inch of rainforest was destroyed. I created Rainforest Roasters because I am passionate about conservation, but am fueled by coffee. I wanted to believe these things could coexist, so I designed a more sustainable coffee company that could allow for a guilt free coffee drinking experience. The idea is that Rainforest Roasters donates 10% of each purchase to a rainforest conservation fund, and all of the beans are grown and ethically roasted in California. This project included illustration, packaging design and website design.
